In Ephesians chapter 6 we are told to: "Put on all the armor of God for you to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Because wrestling against flesh and blood is not to us; but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenlies. Because of this, take up all of the armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day and having worked out all things, to stand." When I understood this passage, it reminded me of a person standing on a hill overlooking a dark and dangerous place enclosed by a high wall where many people were lost and looking for the way out. That person was wearing armor that had been carefully buffed and polished to such a degree that God's light was clearly reflected off the armor, brightening the path to the one and only narrow gate.

It is our privilege as disciples to understand the truth of God as revealed to us through the scripture and to see the confirmation of truth in our understanding of the universe. It is our duty to share this truth with those who are ready to listen and to share the good news of our salvation!
